What is Active Release Technique (ART)?
ART is a safe, non-invasive, and side-effect free technique that provides impressive results. It can be used alone or with chiropractic and other therapies. It has been used by many professional and olympic athletes to perform at peak levels, recover from injury, or avoid surgery. Click here for more information.
ART works by releasing scar tissue (adhesions) that may have formed over time (overuse) or from an injury. This scar tissue can cause symptoms such as weakness, numbness, tingling, burning or aching. ART releases soft-tissue restrictions, entrapped nerves, restricted circulatory structures and allows strength, flexibility, and function to return.
Treatments may feel uncomfortable as the scar tissue or adhesions break up. This discomfort is temporary and subsides almost immediately after the treatment. It is common and usually a good indication to feel a duplication of your pain symptoms during the treatment. Treatments usually last about 8-15 minutes for each area that is being treated.
ART can also be performed on site at your workplace to help prevent Worker's Compensation injuries. Click here to find out how to save your company money by preventing injuries.
